Speeding up the M1
TAKT’s Lean Construction methodology is dramatically reducing lead times on the the reconstruction of the M1, one of the major motorways in the UK.
The M1 has to be broadened to offer space to an increasing number of cars. Obviously, this must happen with as little disturbance as possible for its’ daily users: So: as fast as possible, in a proper way and also, at as little cost as possible.
TAKT consultants are involved in the consulting and training of the main contractor and his subcontractors –an international team of over 50 people- to deliver just that.
Applying the Lean Construction methodology, helps to considerably reduce leadtime –with several months compared to the original planning date.
